The Intermediate
This class is for those with previous riding experience. If you can walk, trot, and canter a horse comfortably and have a "feel" for riding, then you will be in the intermediate class.
First we'll get back to the basics to make sure everyone has a good solid foundation. We will work towards connecting your riding. Connecting is finding the ideal natural balance for maximum strength and efficiency. A connected rider can get the most out of a horse with the least amount of effort. Jumping will be introduced as soon as you are strong and secure in your riding. You haven't lived until you've jumped a horse! All work over fences closely relates to our work on the flat as the same principles are in practice. We'll start with poles on the ground and work up to cross-rails and gymnastics. We will work on different exercises through gymnastics that are designed to help you stay relaxed as you build confidence and learn the dynamics of jumping.
